Before going to get a haircut, I decided to spend a few minutes figuring out which styles might actually work for me. I normally make that decision based on whatever photo happens to catch my attention online, which hasn’t always produced great results. This time I uploaded a clear portrait to https://overchat.ai/image/ai-face-shape-detector and let the tool analyze it. The result identified my face shape and showed some of the characteristics behind the classification. I liked that there was more information than just a category because it gave me a better understanding of why my face was being placed there. The recommendations for hairstyles were probably the most useful part for me. Several suggested cuts were similar to things I’ve considered before, while a couple were completely new options. There were also recommendations concerning glasses, which was convenient because I’ve been thinking about replacing my current pair. I didn’t follow every suggestion literally, since personal taste still matters more to me than an automated recommendation, but I found it useful for narrowing down the possibilities. I also realized that choosing the right photo is important. My first picture was taken from fairly close range with a phone camera, while a second portrait had a more natural perspective. The second analysis felt more representative. Overall, it was a quick way to get some fresh ideas without relying entirely on random advice from friends or generic hairstyle articles.
